Barossa Village and Barossa Council Join Forces to Enhance Residents’ Lives in Talunga Village.

Barossa Village CEO Ben Hall and Barossa Council CEO Martin McCarthy have officially executed a management agreement on July 6, 2023, marking the beginning of an exciting new era for Talunga Village, Mt Pleasant Residents. This landmark collaboration, formalised under the watchful eye of esteemed Councillor Cr Don Barrett, promises to provide vital housing support and foster a deeper connection between the community and a range of programs and services offered by Barossa Village, ultimately enhancing and enriching their lives.

The Barossa Council CEO Martin McCarthy said Council is pleased to be partnering with Barossa Village to provide housing services to those at Talunga Village.

“We look forward to working with Barossa Village to permanently transition Talunga Village in the future, to ensure the ongoing provision of the service through a dedicated organisation who provides housing services,” Mr McCarthy said. “The team at Barossa Village have been wonderful to deal with and they have assisted the tenants and Council greatly through this transition process.”

With a shared commitment to the wellbeing and prosperity of Talunga Village Residents, Barossa Village and Barossa Council have united to create a strategic partnership that will deliver a lasting positive impact on the community.
