Looking after yourself amidst a busy schedule can be challenging, but have you considered incorporating hydrotherapy pool exercises into your routine? The benefits are numerous: they ease joint strain, enhance balance and coordination, alleviate discomfort, and promote nervous system relaxation, fostering greater confidence in the water.

Barossa Village offers personalised 1:1 sessions with a physiotherapist. You can check with your coordinator to explore whether these sessions are covered by your Home Care Package. Alternatively, you might find group sessions appealing. During these sessions, you’ll engage with a physiotherapist who will tailor the class level to suit your specific requirements.

To learn more or discuss your options further, contact the Lodge at 8562 0300 (option 2) or the Community Wellbeing Mobile at 0488 220 205. Our Allied Health Team can also provide additional information and guide you through the process.

Come and join in exercises that support your everyday life; it’s a fun way to keep moving. Located at the Residency in the Gym and held every Tuesday morning from 10.30 am to 11.30 am, come and see for yourself. So, what are the benefits of joining a group session? Let’s begin by saying it’s a chance to meet people like yourself who wish to maintain strength, flexibility and balance. It’s also a great way to meet new people and build on existing ones. You are motivated to keep going and less likely to bail out as you agree to meet others at the gym not only for a workout but also a chance to chat. Socialising while working out makes you feel good.
