Questions about In Home Care

There are four different levels of care in Home Packages. Depending on what level you have been assigned will determine how many hours of service you can receive. Barossa Village will work closely with you to coordinate this.

Working closely with your care coordinator, they will develop a goal driven care plan with care and support services tailored for you. It could be as simple as wanting help walking your dog, through to complex situations.

Having a clinically trained and experienced team leader provides means we can support more complex care needs. We also have two registered nurses for home visits.

Setting up and delivering a Home Care Package specifically tailored for you can be a complex process. Once your home care package is activated you will be assigned a care coordinator and have access to a 24/7 on call service for assistance.

Yes. Your care coordinator will work closely with you to develop a specific care plan tailored to your goals.

The Government determines the payment schedule for client fees, but Barossa Village will only charge $5.00 per day for each package level (or $70 per fortnight).

COVID-19 Update

Restrictions are in place at Residential Aged Care Facilities.  Please be aware of these restrictions before planning a visit.

  • There are no restrictions on the number of care and support visits a resident may receive.
  • Limits on the number of people able to attend a resident have also been removed.
  • Visitors will continue to be screened upon entry and a visitor register will be maintained, including: name, telephone number, date and time of visit and departure, and resident/area visited).
  • Visitors (except children under 12 years) must wear a face mask at all times (unless eating or drinking). Masks are not required on or after 23 December 2020.
  • Visitors cannot an enter unless they have had a flu vaccination

Anyone who has been in a prohibited location or a high community transmission zone in NSW is prohibited from entering a Residential Aged Care Facility in South Australia.  Details are available here.
