Questions about In Home Care

There are four different levels of care in Home Packages. Depending on what level you have been assigned will determine how many hours of service you can receive. Barossa Village will work closely with you to coordinate this.

Working closely with your care coordinator, they will develop a goal driven care plan with care and support services tailored for you. It could be as simple as wanting help walking your dog, through to complex situations.

Having a clinically trained and experienced team leader provides means we can support more complex care needs. We also have two registered nurses for home visits.

Setting up and delivering a Home Care Package specifically tailored for you can be a complex process. Once your home care package is activated you will be assigned a care coordinator and have access to a 24/7 on call service for assistance.

Yes. Your care coordinator will work closely with you to develop a specific care plan tailored to your goals.

The Government determines the payment schedule for client fees, but Barossa Village will only charge $5.00 per day for each package level (or $70 per fortnight).

Please note:

Barossa Village management asks you to contact reception staff when visiting the Residency regarding reconditions around wearing masks.

The reception staff will also advise if there are any areas where residents have infectious conditions and the precautions that need to be taken to enter these areas.

At the Residency, visiting hours are maintained to 10 am – 12 noon and 1 pm – 5 pm (outside of these hours to be negotiated).

Visiting hours allow residents to have care and services attended to support their dignity.
