COVID Directions & Requirements

Visiting the Residency

From December 6, 2021, a person cannot enter an aged care facility unless they have received two COVID vaccinations or have a medical exemption. This applies to ALL staff, residents, visitors, contractors, and volunteers.

Prior to entering the Residency, you will be required to present evidence of your vaccination unless you have previously provided Barossa Village with these details.

Please support our Administration team by having this information ready to present on the day of your visit, or in advance.

Mask wearing is mandatory.

Provision of Care and Services in your Home & Volunteering

From November 30, 2021, a person cannot provide in-home and community aged care services unless they have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine,  have evidence of a booking to receive their second dose of a COVID19 vaccine, or have a medical exemption.  A worker includes sub-contractors and volunteers.

Mask wearing is mandatory.

For receiving care in your home or attending an activity, you must notify Barossa Village:

  • If you are feeling unwell
  • If you are waiting for the result of a COVID test and are self-isolating
  • If you have visited an exposure site and are quarantining
  • If you are a close contact of a person who has visited an exposure site

Internal and external opportunities are available for study in Nursing, Leisure and Health, and Individual Support.

These scholarships are made available thanks to funds raised by The Village Op Shop in Nuriootpa.
