Barbara Storey

Barbara joined the Board of Barossa Village in 2018.  A New Yorker, born and bred, she moved to the Barossa with her Australian husband, Brian, lectured in tourism at TAFE and ran customer service and sales workshops for wineries and hospitality staff.  She began a conference and event business with Brian, before managing three Barossa Vintage Festivals across seven years. She was also Manager, Communications and Promotions for Barossa Grape & Wine Association and recognised as a Baron of the Barossa in 2009 for her services to the Barossa’s tourism industry.

  • When both of my children went off to university I was at a bit of a loose end. I didn't really want to return to full time work but I knew I still had a lot to give. Now I have a weekly meeting with several Barossa Village residents - we have a coffee, a chat and I help them with their shopping. It's a rewarding part of my week.
